Zelensky on Trump waiving Russia sanctions: ‘This Act could have helped enormously’

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky criticized President Trump for deciding to waive sanctions and tariffs against Russia shortly before they were scheduled to take effect. Zelensky stated that this act could have provided enormous help, especially as Russia launched a massive attack on the Ukrainian energy sector. He warned that easing pressure on Moscow encourages Putin, suggesting a direct link between the American decision to disregard sanctions and the subsequent escalation of Russian energy attacks against Ukraine.
