Two Alleged ‘TeamPCP’ Hackers Arrested in Australia

The Australian Federal Police arrested Louis Michael Gaebler, 23, and Ruben Ian Thomson, 21, for their alleged roles in TeamPCP. This cybercrime syndicate is accused of executing the longest running spree of software supply chain attacks. The suspects face 14 combined offences for creating malicious open-source software to target thousands of global businesses. Their activities include the March 2026 compromise of AI gateway LiteLLM and open-source security scanners Trivy and Checkmarx KICS before appearing in Perth Magistrates Court.
