U.S. Air Force missile goes from design to combat fast

The U.S. Air Force has achieved two major milestones in missile development. The AGM-190A Havoc Spear cruise missile passed a combat evaluation in spring 2026, enabling its deployment across conventional aircraft and special operations. Simultaneously, the U.S. Air Force and Northrop Grumman completed the first full assembly of an inert Sentinel intercontinental ballistic missile at Vandenberg Space Force Base. This vertical stacking process prepares the Sentinel for scheduled flight testing throughout 2027.
