Ubuntu 26.10 "Stonking Stingray" Launches With GNOME 51, Linux 7.3 and Optional Speech-to-Text Feature

Canonical has released Ubuntu 26.10 Stonking Stingray, featuring GNOME 51 and Linux kernel 7.3. This version introduces Myna, an opt-in, on-device speech-to-text agent powered by local LLMs. Hardware support is expanded for Intel Xe3P, AMD Zen 6, and NVIDIA 615.x drivers. However, some users report that Tailscale is not yet compatible with the stonking repository, as the standard installation command returns a 404 error, unlike the stable support found in Ubuntu 26.04.
