Ukraine and Sweden sign Gripen E fighter purchase deal

Ukraine and Sweden have signed an agreement for the procurement of Gripen E fighter jets for the Ukrainian Air Force. The signing ceremony was attended by President Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson. These advanced aircraft, representing Sweden's most sophisticated fighter technology, are scheduled for delivery starting in early 2029. This acquisition is expected to provide a major capability boost to Ukraine's aerial defense operations through the integration of the Gripen E platform.
