Ukraine eyes UH-60 Black Hawks to replace aging Mi-8 fleet

Ukraine's Army Aviation command, led by Brigadier General Pavlo Bardakov, plans to replace its aging Soviet-designed Mi-8 and Mi-24 helicopter fleet with American-made UH-60 Black Hawks. Bardakov stated that this transition has become unavoidable for the Ground Forces Command. Simultaneously, the Portuguese Army is enhancing its operational capabilities by ordering three UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters. Both nations are utilizing these aircraft to modernize their respective rotary fleets and improve overall military aviation performance.
