UNC AD pushes for LLC to help manage — and grow — Tar Heels’ athletic revenue

North Carolina athletic director Steve Newmark has proposed a strategic plan to move several revenue-generating components of the UNC athletic department into a separate associated entity. This proposed LLC aims to better manage and expand the Tar Heels' athletic revenue. If the plan receives approval, six specific areas of the department will be transitioned, including ticketing, licensing, and multimedia rights, to optimize the financial growth and operational efficiency of the university's sports programs in Chapel Hill.
