US: Deaths, Neglect in Fort Bliss Immigration Detention

Human Rights Watch and the ACLU released a joint report detailing serious abuse at the Fort Bliss immigration detention camp in El Paso, Texas. Detainees at Camp East Montana faced indiscriminate beatings, life-threatening medical neglect, and coercive removals to third countries. Simultaneously, the Mexican foreign ministry announced it has started filing criminal complaints with US state prosecutors regarding the deaths of Mexican citizens while in US immigration custody and during various enforcement operations.
