Paramount CEO David Ellison is reportedly threatening to move the company out of California amid its $110 billion merger with Warner Bros. Discovery. This potential exit was communicated to Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and Attorney General Rob Bonta. Simultaneously, the FCC has approved the merger's foreign investment structure. The combined entity will have 49.5% foreign ownership, including 38.5% from investment funds based in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi, following a successful regulatory review process.
