US gets its first new national park in 6 years

The United States has established its first new national park in six years. Located in Arizona, Chiricahua was previously designated as a monument and is renowned for its distinct rock spires. This new addition to the national park system is situated only a few hours' drive from SoCal, offering a new alternative for visitors who typically frequent the Grand Canyon. The designation marks a significant expansion of protected lands within the American national park network.
