Commerce Department gives green light for Anthropic to bring back Fable 5

Anthropic announced Tuesday that the public will regain access to the Fable 5 model. This follows a period where the Commerce Department required the company to disable the AI due to potential security risks. To ensure safety, Claude Fable 5 will be redeployed featuring a new set of classifiers. These updated systems are specifically designed to identify and block a broader range of cybersecurity-related tasks as the US lifts previous export controls on the technology.
