2 US Army Corps of Engineers workers among 8 killed in small plane crash in Alaska

Eight people died Thursday when a twin-engine Cessna 441 crashed in Alaska. The aircraft had departed from Anchorage and was traveling toward the Cape Newenham Long Range Radar Site Airport, located approximately 450 miles to the west. Among the victims were two workers from the US Army Corps of Engineers. The incident occurred around midday during the flight.
