US seizes domains of Chinese botnet used to hack NASA, Justice Department, and the Senate

The FBI and Justice Department disrupted a Chinese hacking operation by seizing domains linked to a botnet. Operated by Nanjing Xinjiuwei Network Technology Company, a state-run group used platforms called QScan and QTRouter to breach sensitive U.S. agencies. Targeted entities included NASA, the Senate, and the Justice Department. This action effectively dismantled the infrastructure used by Chinese-backed hackers to infiltrate government networks, neutralizing the tools employed for these cyberattacks against critical American federal institutions.
