Utah marks a year of battling measles, with no clear end in sight

Utah has spent the past year combating measles outbreaks affecting nearly every county. Since the initial outbreak began on June 20, 2025, more than 680 individuals have fallen ill. Although certain regions of the state successfully halted the spread, experts indicate that the highly contagious virus continues to circulate. Consequently, there is currently no clear end in sight for the state's ongoing battle to control the transmission of the disease across its various populations.
