A Maumelle High football player in Arkansas discovered a two-foot-long cottonmouth snake inside his helmet during practice. After noticing unusual movement following warmups, the student sought help. The venomous pit viper refused to leave the headgear, requiring police officers to pour water inside to force the reptile into a bag. Animal services technicians subsequently identified the deadly snake and relocated it to a wooded area far from the school to ensure safety for the students.
