Verda raises $189M to expand AI cloud infrastructure across Europe and beyond

Helsinki-based AI cloud company Verda, formerly known as DataCrunch, has raised $189M in an oversubscribed Series B round led by Emergence Capital. This funding elevates Verda to unicorn status in Europe. The company intends to use the capital to increase computing capacity and develop its platform. This expansion aims to challenge US cloud giants, promote European data sovereignty, and accelerate the global adoption of green tech by expanding AI cloud infrastructure across Europe and beyond.
