Video shows moment Utah police dog seriously injured in leap from overpass

Utah authorities released video showing K-9 Bruno leaping from a freeway overpass on September 15 while inspecting a suspicious package. The bomb-sniffing dog suffered two broken legs and a fractured jaw, requiring surgery and air-lifting to a veterinary hospital. An independent review confirmed that officer Wayne Henderson deployed Bruno according to standard K-9 tactics. Bruno has since been released from the hospital and is currently recovering at home following the incident in Summit County.
