Volkswagen, in strategy shift, plans to globalise China-developed technology

Volkswagen is implementing a strategic shift to globalise technology originally developed in China. The carmaker intends to integrate China-developed car technology into vehicles sold in other international markets, beginning with South America. Previously, Volkswagen restricted this specific technology to the Chinese market. This new global expansion plan focuses specifically on the implementation of the Compact Main Platform and the China Electronic Architecture, both of which were developed within China for the brand's regional operations.
