Trump won Nebraska by 20 points. Now he’s trying to rescue a GOP Senate seat after angering ranchers with his plan to import more beef

Donald Trump is supporting Senator Pete Ricketts in a highly competitive Nebraska Senate race. This intervention follows significant backlash from local ranchers who are angered by a White House plan to increase beef imports to reduce prices. Although Trump previously won Nebraska by twenty points, the current discontent among the ranching community is reshaping traditional party dynamics and increasing the potential influence of independent candidates as the GOP attempts to secure the Senate seat.
