Waymo Reportedly Plans to Put 20,000 Robotaxis on the Road by the End of 2027

Waymo intends to expand its robotaxi fleet fivefold, reaching 20,000 vehicles by the end of 2027. The company plans to increase its current fleet of 4,000 to 8,000 by late 2026. This growth follows a $5B loan and will feature Ojai vans built on Chinese Zeekr cars. Additionally, Waymo has announced expansion plans for Madrid. The company reportedly aims to double its existing fleet size by the conclusion of this current year alone.
