Building My First AI Agent with Python and Flask: What I Learned

A former waiter developed Materia AI using Python and Flask to resolve restaurant inventory mismanagement and data-driven menu decisions. Separately, Krishna, an 18-year-old student, participated in the PORT MORTEM 2026 Hackathon by porting python-semver to Golang. Facing hardware limitations, Krishna utilized a Samsung A05 with Termux and an old Core 2 Duo PC running Linux Mint Xfce to parse and compare version strings, successfully completing the project despite significant resource constraints.
