TrailWise AI: Local Outdoor Trail & Activity Advisor (#TouchGrass)

Two new AI tools, TrailWise AI and TouchGrass AI, were developed for Hacktoberfest 2026 to reduce screen time. TrailWise AI utilizes a FastAPI engine and llama3.2 via Ollama to provide offline gear checklists and safety tips. Meanwhile, TouchGrass AI is a Python CLI utility that generates micro-activities, such as nature observation and stretching, to help developers take physical breaks. Both projects leverage open-source AI to encourage users to spend more time outdoors during coding sessions.
