White House Made Disastrous Decision to Cut Ukraine’s Internet

The White House issued an order to the Department of Defense to limit the Starshield satellite system used by Ukraine for drone operations and battlefield communications. Two U.S. officials and a Western official confirmed the decision to slow the system. A Ukrainian military official stated that SpaceX interrupted the functioning of military-grade Starlink terminals. Presidential adviser Serhiy Beskrestnov noted that Ukrainian defense forces received no prior warning, resulting in the disruption of critical sea operations.
