Mahindra Addresses E20 Petrol Engine Damage Fears For Older Cars

As India transitions to E20 petrol, Mahindra has assured owners of older petrol vehicles that their cars can safely use the higher ethanol blend without causing engine damage. The company stated that E20-compliant models underwent extensive testing for compatibility. While E20, containing 20% ethanol, is compatible with many new vehicles, higher blends like E85 and E100 are specifically designed for flex-fuel vehicles. These different ethanol percentages impact engine damage risks and mileage drops across various vehicle types.
