Windows 11’s easy local account trick is dead, patched by Microsoft

Microsoft has patched a simple workaround that allowed users to bypass the mandatory Microsoft account requirement during Windows 11 setup or reinstallation. Previously, clicking the Learn more option on the sign-in page enabled the creation of a local account with administrator rights. This one-click trick is no longer functional in the most recent updates, ensuring that Microsoft accounts are once again strictly required for users configuring their PCs or reinstalling the operating system.
