Woman knocked unconscious after leaning on electrified fence at pickleball court sues the city of Chula Vista

Pickleball player Renee Love is suing the city of Chula Vista following an incident on August 19, 2025. While taking a break at the Better at Pickleball courts located within the Chula Vista Elite Athletic Training Center, Love leaned against a fence and was allegedly jolted into the air. The encounter left her unconscious. The lawsuit follows this event where the athlete was injured after leaning on the electrified perimeter of the sports facility.
