A cut cable disrupted hundreds of flights across the US

Microsoft is reportedly planning to lay off hundreds of Xbox employees this week, marking its second major staff reduction this year. The company also intends to consolidate several game studios. Separately, a cut Verizon fiber cable in New Jersey disrupted hundreds of flights across the US on Monday. FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford confirmed that construction crews accidentally severed the cable used for air traffic control, causing significant cancellations and delays at airports throughout the Northeast region.
