Xbox's New Disc-to-Digital Program Gives Physical Games a Digital Future

Xbox has announced a new disc-to-digital program allowing owners of most Xbox One and Xbox Series X disc-based games to obtain digital entitlements. Starting August 31 for Xbox Insiders, users can claim these entitlements by inserting and launching the physical disc. Once claimed, the titles become playable completely digitally without requiring the disc. Physical discs will remain functional after the process, providing players a combination of digital convenience and physical permanence for thousands of supported titles.
