Yankees invoke Luke Voit to defend Jazz Chisholm’s bizarre quote

Yankees manager Aaron Boone benched second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. for Wednesday night's critical game against the Rays. This decision for Game 3 of the ALDS comes after Chisholm committed a costly error during Game 2. Consequently, Anthony Volpe will start in his place for the do-or-die matchup. The move follows a period of instability for Chisholm, whose tenure with the Yankees faces a pivotal moment as he remains on the bench for this essential series.
