Zone Design as a Mitigation for CVE-2026-102037

Juniper published maintenance releases in October 2026 to resolve CVE-2026-102037, an XML injection flaw in the Unified Threat Management daemon (utmd) of Junos OS on SRX Series devices. This vulnerability allows an unauthenticated network attacker to commit arbitrary device configuration with root privileges via a malicious response from a configured custom URL-feed server. CVSS v4.0 scores the flaw 9.2 CRITICAL, while CVSS v3.1 scores it 8.1 HIGH. Zone design is recommended as a primary mitigation strategy.
